CHARLES THWAITES ABSTRACT OPAQUE WATERCOLOR #7
$250
A variety of Charles Thwaites works were donated to the WVALAA for fund raising purposes. Thwaites was the subject of an exhibit at the Museum of Wisconsin Art and a book was published about his life and work. He was a Wisconsin resident, creating Midwest scenes, mural designs, portraits and landscapes, and while having achieved some success in the regional art scene he moved to the Southwest where he became part of the Modernist movement exploring abstraction and color. In the Southwest he was also a painter of portraits, including Native American personalities. For more information about this piece please email saganguy@aol.com.
